YEAH!  Time for the PAA WOW gang to reconnect!

Our June WOW adventure begins with an easy drive to Ventura and a scenic bike ride from San Buenaventura State Beach inland to the lovely town of Ojai. The first three miles take you North along the ocean’s edge on the Coastal Bikeway. The next few miles of trail lead inland and connect with the Ojai-Ventura Bike Path. Follow this flat and meandering bike path for approximately 14 miles until you reach the darling town of Ojai, never more than a 2% grade. When you arrive at the first major intersection in Ojai, where Maricopa Hwy intersects with W. Ojai Ave, you will cross W. Ojai Ave and continue along the Ojai Ventura Bike Trail.  Ride one more mile and then exit the Ojai Valley Bike Trail at Montgomery Avenue. There is a large bike rack at the Ojai Cafe Emporium (108 S. Montgomery St). Perhaps you want to "park" your bike here and find a yummy snack at one of the nearby coffee shops or restaurants. We will regroup next to the parked bikes (Ojai Café Emporium parking lot) for the ride back to Ventura. After returning to Ventura, if you are not in a big hurry to get back to Pasadena, there are a lot of fun things to do…browsing on main street, chilling on the beach/boardwalk, biking further up the coast for some very scenic views, etc.

The route starts from San Pedro Street in Ventura. Parking is free on the street next to the Marriott Hotel. The ride into Ojai and back is 35.3 miles with 919 ft of elevation gain.

Note: Depending on the number of riders, we may need to break up into smaller groups.
