Update: Due to scheduling conflicts with our WoW leaders, we are postponing the beach ride to October 31. Feel free to ride the route unsupported.

For August's WoW Ride, we are riding at the beach!

We will all start in picturesque Seal Beach with a ride down the PCH through Huntington Beach and into Newport Beach. Once in Newport Beach, we will take Palm Street and take the short car ferry over to Balboa Island (please make sure to bring cash as the ferry fee for each person with bikes is $1.50). Once on the island, we can stop for coffee at one of the cafes and then head over to Corona Del Mar. Climb up Marguerite Ave and make sure to look back for the beautiful views of the Pacific. From there we'll head back on PCH all the way back to Seal Beach. Stop in Newport Beach or Seal Beach for snacks, shopping or beach time before heading back to Pasadena.

The route starts and ends in Seal Beach https://www.strava.com/routes/2788861621934437534 is 39 miles with 582 ft. Thank you to Paula Blake for the route.

We will be splitting into two groups: Fast group 14-15 mph average and a less fast group 12-13 mph. Please RSVP with which group you'd like to join.
