Join us for our Gender Blender (yes, men are invited to join) May WoW (Women on Wheels) ride from Ventura to Ojai on Sunday, May 26. This ride starts in the beach town of Ventura and heads inland along parts of the original Southern Pacific Railroad path to the quaint town of Ojai, where we will enjoy a yummy coffee and a snack.

Our adventure begins with an easy drive to Ventura. We will park along San Pedro street next to San Buenaventura State Beach and suit up for a 9 a.m. roll time. The first three miles take us North along the ocean’s edge on the Coastal Bikeway. The next few miles of trail lead inland and connect with the Ojai-Ventura Bike Path. We follow this flat and meandering bike path (never over 3% grade) until we reach the town of Ojai for a terrific coffee break (location TBD). Our descent to Ventura will be back on the Ojai Ventura Bike Trail.

After returning to Ventura, if you are not in a big hurry to get back to Pasadena, there are plenty of fun things to do…browsing on Main Street, chilling on the beach/boardwalk, biking further up the coast for some very scenic views, etc.

**Please remember: ride leaders, sweeps and all our women who help, are all volunteers who have spent time and energy creating and pre-riding each specific route to ensure safety and fun for the whole group.  Our average speeds are determined prior to each ride to make sure each group stays together -- this isn't a race, it's a social ride.  If you feel the pace is too slow for you, feel free to ride ahead.  We ask you to be mindful of the whole group and respect the leader's decision on the pre-determined route and speed.
