If you like donuts and mountains, you won’t want to miss this one! This ride will be a loop starting and ending at Encanto park. We'll climb highway 39, taking in the views of the reservoir and San Gabriel Canyon. Make the right at the bridge at East Fork crossing the San Gabriel River (or at least the river bed). After another rolling 5 miles or so, we'll find ourselves at the North face of Glendora Mountain Road. While 39 is a fun climb, this is what we’re really coming up here for. It's a 4.9 mile climb averaging six percent and the views are STUNNING. Your rewards: an excellent view at horse canyon saddle, descending the south face of GMR, and a stop at one of LA’s best donut shops: Donut Man. After donut deliciousness we’ll make our way back to Encanto for lunch. This is one of my favorite rides. Hope to see y’all out there!
